Vacuum coating machines mainly refer to a type of coating that needs to be carried out under a relatively high vacuum degree, which specifically includes many types, such as vacuum ion evaporation, magnetron sputtering, MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy), PLD (Pulsed Laser Deposition), and so on. The main idea is divided into two types: evaporation and sputtering.
Environmental Requirements for the Operation of Vacuum Coating Machines:
Vacuum coating equipment needs to work under vacuum conditions, so the equipment must meet the environmental requirements for vacuum. The environmental requirements for vacuum generally include two aspects: the requirements of vacuum equipment for the surrounding environment such as temperature and air particles in the laboratory (or workshop) where it is located, and the requirements for parts or surfaces in a vacuum state or vacuum.
These two aspects are closely related. The quality of the surrounding environment directly affects the normal use of vacuum equipment; and whether the vacuum chamber of the vacuum equipment or the parts installed in it are clean directly affects the performance of the equipment. If the air contains a large amount of water vapor and dust, it is difficult to achieve the expected vacuum degree when using an oil-sealed mechanical pump to pump air without cleaning the vacuum chamber. As we all know, oil-sealed mechanical pumps are not suitable for pumping gases that are corrosive to metals, react with vacuum oil, or contain particulate dust. Water vapor is a condensable gas. When a large amount of condensable gas is pumped out, the pollution to the pump oil will be more serious, resulting in a drop in the ultimate vacuum of the pump and damage to the pumping performance of the pump.
Dust in the industrial environment is distinguished by powder, fumes, and dust. Powder is a substance in the aggregated or dispersed state of powder or solid particles. The so-called powder refers to the aggregation of tiny solid particles, while particles refer to tiny substances that can be counted one by one. Fumes are material systems in which tiny solid or liquid particles exist in a floating state in gases. Substances, whether solid or liquid, in a particulate state can be collectively referred to as dust particles. The standard of air cleanliness is determined by the size of dust particle diameters, so as to formulate the level of clean rooms. It is not only suitable for industrial sectors with cleanliness requirements but also for the requirements of vacuum for a clean environment.
