Coating Technology Overview
Our magnetron sputtering vacuum coating system offers multiple material options, typically using high and low refractive index materials in cross-stacked configurations. The equipment supports both vacuum evaporation plating and magnetron sputtering plating methods.
Anti-Reflection Coating Principle
Anti-reflection coatings function by leveraging light's wave nature and interference phenomena. When light waves of identical amplitude and wavelength superimpose, they either amplify or cancel each other. AR coatings create this interference effect, causing reflected light from the film's front and rear surfaces to cancel out, thereby minimizing reflection.
While single-layer coatings provide basic anti-reflection properties, multi-layer coatings (double-layer, three-layer, or more) deliver superior performance across broader spectral ranges. This technology finds extensive application in lenses and solar cells, where silicon nitride anti-reflection films significantly enhance photovoltaic module efficiency through plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition.
